Writing for Wellbeing

A three-hour workshop that uses writing as a way into self-expression and self-care. No writing experience is needed, and there is no expectation to share your writing with the group. Maximum of 10 participants.

The session includes:

  • writing space for self-expression and self-care
  • short writing activities
  • self-care, gratitude and mindfulness practices
  • tips for effective journal practice

Benefits

Research into expressive writing reports improved mood, a greater feeling of psychological wellbeing, reduced depressive symptoms, improved immune and lung function, and fewer stress-related visits to the doctor.

Laughter for Resilience

Laughter yoga starts as deliberate laughter and, with the group dynamic, becomes spontaneous and effortless. There are no jokes, humour or comedy involved. Join the No Limits laughter club, or book a session for a private group.

  • decreases depression and anxiety
  • provides pain relief
  • helps manage stress

A systematic review by Alici and Donmez (2020) found that laughter yoga had positive effects on physical function and psychosocial outcomes in older adults, and was cost-effective with no adverse effects.
